In this work one searchs to investigate where measured the work cooperatives they are being an efficient alternative in the generation of enclosed income and work for that if they find excluded or precariously in the formal market of work. The preliminary results of this research point dichotomies. Of a side, the branch of work cooperatives is one of that more it grows in the brazilian cooperativismo, demonstrating to the adequacy of this type of enterprise the logic of the capital, but on the other hand, the cooperatives that they emphasize the solidary principles, demonstrate, in some measure, effective indications of the constitution of an associated work stop beyond the economic rationality.
